The Power of God For His Church

Now that we know what a “Called out Body of Believers” [the church (Ekklesia)] is, we must learn how the biblical New Testament Church was built by miraculous divine direction from God. How the church is built will reveal to us its daily purpose on this earth for the furtherance of the gospel of peace. The benefits of the church will bless the children of God until they inherit eternal life, though their faith will be tried along the way!

Do you remember how Jesus promised, “I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”? The persecution that came upon Jesus continued against His faithful followers. The gates of hell come against the true church daily in many forms, of which persecution is only one of them.

Satan will literally do anything that he can to hinder, sidetrack, and deceive the “called out body of believers”. He hates that your righteous obedience to God is completely contrary to his plan! He desires to be worshipped and all the world worships him through disobedience to the commandments of God. Listen to Peter’s stern warning in I Peter 5:8-9,
